The 1st International Conference for the Promotion of Child Rights launched the CADE initiative. This hybrid conference brought together organizations from six African countries.
On June 18, 2024, symbolic date of the Day of the African Child, the 1st International Conference for the Promotion of Child Rights was held in Cameroon.This hybrid conference brought together organizations from six African countries: Cameroon, Tunisia, Togo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast.At the end of this historic conference, participants recommended the creation of a permanent continental framework for consultation and advocacy for children's rights — thus giving birth to the CADE initiative.ATDDE (Tunisia) took the lead in structuring this ambitious project, which now has around thirty member organizations in 10 African countries.
