Governance

Our governance structure

CADE operates on principles of transparency, accountability and democratic participation. Governance structures are being organized in preparation for the June 2026 constituent General Assembly.

Our guiding principles

Transparency

All CADE decisions and actions are conducted transparently, with regular reports to members.

Democracy

Important decisions are made collectively by members, according to the principle of «one organization, one vote».

Accountability

Each body is accountable to the General Assembly and must report on its actions.

Inclusion

CADE encourages the active participation of all its members, regardless of their size or location.

Representativeness

Governance structures reflect the geographical and thematic diversity of member organizations.

Efficiency

Governance structures are designed to ensure effective and rapid decision-making.

Governance bodies

General Assembly

Supreme decision-making body bringing together all CADE members. It defines strategic orientations, adopts the budget and elects the executive bureau.

Executive Bureau

Consortium management body composed of the President, Secretary General, Treasurer and several Regional Vice-Presidents.

Secretariat

Operational structure responsible for daily coordination of activities, communication and monitoring of CADE projects.

National Representations

Focal points in each member country to ensure local coordination and facilitate communication with the continental secretariat.
