About CADE
The African Consortium for Child Rights (CADE) is a continental platform for advocacy, coordination and cooperation among African organizations committed to children's rights.
Africa is today the youngest continent in the world. By 2055, nearly half of the world's children will live on the African continent.
Yet many children continue to face major challenges: poverty, armed conflict, violence, early marriage, child labor, malnutrition and limited access to education.
CADE's vocation is to strengthen collaboration among African organizations to effectively promote children's rights and influence public policies at continental scale.
The founding milestones
Recommendation to create CADE

Structuring the consortium
A core of African organizations is actively working on developing the founding texts of the Consortium. CADE now brings together around thirty member organizations in 10 African countries.
Constituent General Assembly
